Artist of the Week – Unconventional Illustrator Nacho DiazTweet
Today we’re going to step into the funny and unconventional world of illustrator Nacho Diaz, also known as Naolito. He is a 24-year-old digital artist from Spain, specializing in T-shirt design, who creates amazing characters which manage to convey a subtle, yet powerful message. All of his artworks are based on double entendres meant to satirize human flaws and aspects of modern society or just to bring out the irony in mundane situations.
You can find him on Facebook, Deviantart and T-shirt community websites such as Threadless. He personalizes animals and famous characters such as Mario from the Super Mario Game and the Loch Ness monster to create artistically funny designs.
Hidden Part of Icebergs
Nacho’s illustrations bring a whole new sense to the classic literary metaphors we’ve all grown accustomed to. I personally appreciate artists who manage to somehow distort my previous view of the world and make me step in their world. Nacho does exactly that by creating inspired designs whose universal message passes through anyone’s personal filter and remains unchanged.
Goodbye, cruel world
