Surfing is a much loved sport and pass-time for many people. It gives the people who practice it a sense of togetherness with nature, and it also helps them focus on the things that matter most to them. It is also, pure and simply, a really fun thing to do. First observed in the late 18th century by European explorers in Polynesia, surfing was and still is an important part of native cultures.

We’ve taken the time to compile a list of our favorite 20 examples of food photography in order to showcase this much underrated art, on one hand, and, on the other, in order to serve as design inspiration for any of you who may be photographers working in this field or just looking to expand your horizon with food photography.

Artists famous for painting and drawing portraits figured out a ton about composition, form, shape, shadow, and framing well before the camera ever made it big. The conventions they originated, back when spending months on a single portrait was the most efficient way to capture someone in the flesh, are conventions that still surface in photography today, many of which initially originated in paintings.

What is it about babies that makes them so disarmingly beautiful? Is it the promise of new life and progress that comes with them? The endless possibilities that small being presents means something unbelievable. In the words of Don Draper, protagonist of the popular series Mad Men, “We don’t know who he is yet, or what he’s gonna be. And that is a wonderful thing.”
Regardless of the reason why we find babies so unbelievably amazing to look at, we know simply adorable and very pleasing to the eye.

Vintage is cool. We all love vintage and that’s probably why this style will never go out of fashion and I’m not talking only about clothing or accessories. It also applies to broader domains like graphic design or photography. Vintage is everywhere.
