Let’s Reminisce with Some Childhood Games Illustrations

I thought we’d take a trip down memory lane today and get lost in some fond memories of our childhood games. These games have evolved tremendously over the last century and have currently stepped almost entirely into the technological realm. But in the name of good old-fashioned fun, we’re going to draw inspiration today from some sweet vector illustrations depicting children enjoying their innocent games.

I’m sure you’ve all played hide-and-go-seek once or twice when you were little. In order to get a more real feel of the nostalgia, I’ve chosen for this particular game some pencil sketch illustrations.

Of course things haven’t changed that much when it comes to classical children’s games. Since Ancient Greece and probably for the rest of time, children will interact in the same way when they are together.

It’s a fact that all children dream they are superheroes.

They want birthday parties with all their friends and large amounts of sweets.

They want to go to carnivals and go on all the rides. It’s probably the only place in the world they wouldn’t mind getting lost in.

They build imaginary fortresses and live in a world where monsters and boogie men exist, but the forces of good always prevail.

Children don’t criticize each other’s drawings and don’t use design resources in their illustrations.

They are happy if you give them a kite and take them out on an open field.

…or if they play with their pet, which incidentally is also their best friend.

You’ve gotta love children and the adorably simple way in which they look at life.

We could learn a lot from them, so let’s join hands for children everywhere and try to be a little bit more like them!

What’s your favorite childhood game?
